Why Commission In Hoi An
Hoi An has been a centre of tailoring excellence for centuries. The ancient town's artisans have refined the art of cloth and construction across generations — and Be Li Tailor carries that tradition forward with every garment we cut. When you commission a suit here, you're not getting a fast-fashion shortcut. You're getting a garment built around your body, your measurements, your occasion.
Our studio at 635 Hai Bà Trưng sits at the heart of Hội An's tailoring quarter. Le Thi Chan has been cutting cloth here since the mid-2000s, training under the town's master tailors before opening her own studio. Today the workshop is co-owned with Jerry — an Australian with a sharp eye for quality and a genuine dislike of anything less than excellent. The result is a studio that combines Vietnamese craftsmanship with exacting modern standards.
Most bespoke suits are completed in 5–7 days with two fittings. We work in Italian and English wools, linens, cotton, and cashmere blends — every cloth available to touch and examine in our showroom before you commit. Once your measurements are on file, reorders can be shipped directly to your home without a return visit.
Bespoke Suits in Hoi An — What to Expect
Your first visit is a consultation: we discuss the garment, the occasion, and the cloth. Measurements are taken — forty in total for a suit — and a pattern is cut. A first fitting in muslin confirms the silhouette before we cut the final cloth. The second fitting refines the fit. By the time you collect, the garment is finished to your specification: hand-stitched lapels, your choice of lining, buttons, and details throughout.
We've outfitted clients from Australia, the UK, the US, Europe, and across Asia. Many return year after year — or send friends. Our 4.9-star rating across hundreds of reviews reflects a simple truth: when a suit fits, people remember.
