Made To Fit You, Exactly

There is a particular pleasure in wearing something made for your body — not the nearest approximation from a rack, but a garment cut to your exact measurements, in the cloth you chose, to a silhouette you designed. That's what we offer at Be Li Tailor, and it's why clients return from Australia, the UK, the US, and across Europe to commission with us year after year.

Our womenswear spans the full range: evening gowns for black-tie occasions, cocktail dresses for weddings and events, ao dai as a keepsake from Vietnam, tailored trouser suits for the office, and simple separates in silk, linen, and fine cotton. If you have a design in mind — a photo, a sketch, a garment you want copied — bring it. Our pattern-makers work from references every day.

Hoi An's tailoring tradition runs deep, and Be Li Tailor draws on it fully. Le Thi Chan trained under the town's master tailors before opening her own studio in the mid-2000s. Today the workshop combines that foundational Vietnamese craftsmanship with high standards for fit, finish, and client experience — guided in part by Jerry's Australian directness and demand for quality.

Custom Dresses and Clothing in Hoi An — The Process

Your first consultation takes about thirty minutes. We discuss the garment, the occasion, your preferences for cloth and cut. Measurements are taken and a pattern is made. A first fitting confirms the silhouette — adjustments are made before we cut the final cloth. By the second fitting, the garment is close to finished. Final collection follows.

Most pieces are ready in 5–7 days. We recommend arriving in Hoi An on your first day so the schedule isn't rushed. Once your measurements are on file, future orders can be placed remotely and shipped directly — many of our clients do exactly this from home in Sydney, London, or New York.

Common Questions

What styles do you make?

Evening gowns, cocktail dresses, ao dai, tailored suits, blouses, skirts, trousers, and separates. If you can describe it, we can make it.

Can I bring a design reference?

Yes — a photo, a Pinterest board, even a garment you want copied. We work from references daily.

How long does it take?

5–7 days for most pieces, with two fittings included. Simpler garments can be completed in 3 days.

Do you make ao dai?

Yes. Traditional Vietnamese ao dai in silk, linen, and fine cotton — one of our most popular keepsakes.

Can garments be shipped after I leave?

Yes. We ship to over 40 countries with full tracking. No need to wait — we'll post it to you.
